2010 Meeting Hotel Update
The Portland Doubletree has provided an online reservation page specifically for the 2010 Annual OAS Meeting. Using this page will ensure your room nights are credited to OAS. The cut off date for receiving the meeting rate of $120/night for a standard room ($130 for a premium room) is August 1, 2010. Click on the "Hotel, Airport, Ground Transportation" link under "Meeting Information" on the left side of this page for links to the hotel, room reservations and other useful information about Portland.
About OAS
The OAS is a nonprofit, voluntary, scientific and professional society incorporated in the District of Columbia. The membership of OAS consists of state radiation control directors and staff from the 37 Agreement States who are responsible for implementation of their respective Agreement State programs. The purpose of the OAS is to provide a mechanism for these Agreement States to work with each other and with the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on regulatory issues associated with their respective agreements.

The NRC announced that on Friday, March 19, 2010, the United States Senate confirmed the appointment of three individuals to serve as members of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
